Projects

When contacted for this spectacular fireplace project, the CF + D team was thrilled at the opportunity to achieve the client’s vision for this Custom 4-Sided Vapor-Fire feature. Each project starts in the hands of our skilled design team in partnership with the client to ensure the features expressed by the client are matched as closely as possible through the use of craftsmanship and technology. One of the key features of this fireplace design was to ensure that the Vapor-Fire flame effect can be comfortably enjoyed from all angles of the luxury clubroom amenity space.

Once the client and designer have approved the design, final drawings are sent to our production team. The talented CF + D metal craftsman and fabricators interpret the drawings and begin producing the components that will ultimately be combined to assemble the fireplace. This process can take 8 – 12 weeks depending on the complexity of the design, materials required and paint finish requested.

Next, the client’s choice of paint or patina finish is ready to be applied to the metal surfaces. In this case, the client chose a matte black finish. Once the paint dried, the Vapor-Fire burners for this project were installed. Our Technicians test-fire each burner for optimal operating efficiency to ensure they meet our stringent quality control requirements before being shipped to the job site. Once the fire feature is received and placed into position, the General Contractor or Builder appointed to the project will begin the installation.

In this project, the custom suspended hood was anchored into the ceiling above, then the base was positioned directly under the hood and hard-wired into the main source connection. The Vapor-Fire burners are plumbed-in to the main source water line for continuous burn time. The final touch is the beautiful hood cladding (done by others). Now the fire feature is complete and ready for our client and their visitors to enjoy!
